Seventeen-year-old German attacking midfielder Lennart Karl dreams of being part of Europe’s most successful club at some point in his career.
Having delivered brilliant performances for Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich this season, Karl also hopes to feature in the 2026 World Cup. The 17-year-old German playmaker is nurturing another dream in his heart: to one day play for Europe’s most successful team, Real Madrid.
Karl has already made history this season. He became Bayern’s youngest-ever goalscorer and assister in the Bundesliga, and also holds the record for the youngest scorer for the club in the Champions League. Speaking at an event for Bayern fans, he expressed his desire to play for his dream club Real Madrid at some point.
“FC Bayern is a huge club. Playing here is like a dream. But at some point, I definitely want to go to Real Madrid. It’s my dream club. But let’s keep that between us.”
Karl joined Bayern at the age of 12, having previously spent a short period at Eintracht Frankfurt. His goal this year is to represent Germany at the World Cup.
“First, we have to play well, and then we’ll see. Being able to play in the World Cup at 17 would be something special.”
