Even after leading 2-0 until the 84th minute, Michael Carrick’s side faced the risk of dropping points.

What Ruben Amorim’s Manchester United managed once in 14 months, Carrick’s team achieved in his first three matches! The Premier League’s most successful club secured three consecutive wins under their new coach. However, it wasn’t easy for United, as a spirited Fulham side gave them a tough challenge on their home ground.

At Old Trafford on Sunday, United triumphed 3-2 in a thrilling encounter.

After Casemiro gave the hosts the lead in the first half, Matheus Cunha extended it with a brilliant pass from the Brazilian midfielder in the second half. Raul Jiménez and Kevin’s two goals restored parity for Fulham, before Benjamin Sesko restored United’s advantage.

Carrick, coaching his former club for the second time, won all three of his opening matches. With 41 points from 24 games, United climbed to fourth place, while Fulham remained eighth with 34 points from the same number of matches.

Fulham dominated possession for over 57% of the game and managed 14 shots, six on target. United had 13 shots, with six on goal.

United created the first major opportunity at home. Amadou Diallo’s shot was saved by the Fulham goalkeeper. In the 19th minute, Casemiro scored with a brilliant header from Bruno Fernandes’ corner to put United ahead.

In the 56th minute, Casemiro delivered a defense-splitting pass, allowing his Brazilian teammate Matheus Cunha to find the net from a tight angle.

In the 65th minute, Jorge Cuenca sent the ball into United’s goal, but Samuel Chukwueze was offside, so the goal was disallowed.

In the 85th minute, Raul Jiménez reduced the deficit with a successful spot-kick after being fouled by United’s experienced defender Harry Maguire, bringing Fulham back into the match.

In the first minute of added time, Kevin scored with a dynamic strike to level the score at 2-2.

Three minutes later, Sesko capitalized on a brilliant through ball from Fernandes, finding the net near the near post. United held on for the remainder of the game to secure all three points.
