Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti has assured that there’s no cause for concern regarding the injury of English midfielder Jude Bellingham, who has now scored in five consecutive La Liga matches. From struggling to find the net at the start of the season, Bellingham has returned to form, much to Ancelotti’s delight.
Bellingham was the star of Real Madrid’s 3-0 win over Girona on Saturday in La Liga. He opened the scoring in the first half and provided a brilliant assist in the second half for Arda Güler to double the lead. Kylian Mbappé sealed the victory with the third goal.
At the beginning of the season, Bellingham failed to score in his first 11 matches across all competitions for Real Madrid. However, he broke his drought with a stunning goal in a 4-0 win against Osasuna on November 9, just before the international break. Since then, the 21-year-old has found the net in four more consecutive league matches against Leganés, Getafe, Athletic Bilbao, and Girona.
During the Girona match, Bellingham was substituted in the 61st minute due to discomfort in his leg. However, Ancelotti eased any concerns, stating that the midfielder will be available for Real Madrid’s Champions League clash against Atalanta on Tuesday.
“Bellingham is fine. His leg felt a bit fatigued, and he didn’t want to take any risks. He’ll be available for the Atalanta match. Bellingham is back in form. He’s scored in five consecutive matches. He’s returned and is performing at a very high level.”
French star Kylian Mbappé was also full of praise for his teammate’s performance.
“Amazing! He’s an incredible player. It’s a joy to play alongside top-class players in Madrid. Jude had a fantastic match.”
