Paris Saint-Germain 1 – 0 Monaco
PSG secured their third consecutive French Super Cup title with a hard-fought win over Monaco.
Despite dominating the attack and creating numerous opportunities, PSG struggled to find the back of the net during regulation time. As the match appeared destined for a penalty shootout, Ousmane Dembélé delivered the decisive moment. His late goal ensured PSG’s 1-0 victory over Monaco and another French Super Cup triumph.
Having clinched both Ligue 1 and the French Cup last season, PSG faced Monaco, the league runners-up, in Sunday’s Super Cup clash. The game, held at Doha Stadium in Qatar in front of nearly 40,000 spectators, saw PSG controlling possession for most of the match. They fired 28 shots, with 10 on target, compared to Monaco’s 12 attempts, five of which were on goal.
The breakthrough finally came in the second minute of added time. Fabian Ruiz’s brilliant pass found Dembélé inside the six-yard box, and the French forward coolly slotted a low, angled shot past the far post.
This victory marks PSG’s 11th French Super Cup win in the last 12 years.
