Brentford staged a remarkable late comeback to hold Premier League champions Manchester City to a thrilling draw after falling two goals behind.

After a goalless first half at Brentford’s home ground, City took a two-goal lead through Foden. Yoane Wissa pulled one back for Brentford, and Christian Nørgaard’s stoppage-time header ensured the match ended 2-2.
With 10 wins and 5 draws from 21 matches, Manchester City remain in sixth place in the Premier League table with 35 points. Brentford, on the other hand, sit 10th with 28 points.
Match Highlights
The match promised excitement from the very start with fast-paced football and end-to-end action. City nearly scored in the 27th minute when Matheus Nunes broke into the box but hesitated, allowing Brentford to clear. Mateo Kovacic’s follow-up shot narrowly missed the target a minute later.
Brentford responded with a counter-attack in the 38th minute, but Erling Haaland’s weak shot, after receiving Kevin De Bruyne’s pass, was easily saved by the goalkeeper.
Early in the second half, Nathan Collins’ header came close to putting Brentford ahead, but it went just wide. City wasted two clear chances shortly after. Saviño’s shot hit the post, and Haaland’s header from close range was comfortably saved by the Brentford keeper.
City finally broke the deadlock in the 66th minute when Foden leapt to meet De Bruyne’s cross and delicately tapped it into the net. Twelve minutes later, Foden doubled the lead, smashing home a rebound after Saviño’s shot was parried by the goalkeeper.
Brentford, however, refused to give up. In the 82nd minute, Wissa controlled a lofted pass inside the box and beat the keeper with a well-placed shot. With this goal, Wissa became Brentford’s all-time top scorer in the Premier League with 37 goals, surpassing Ivan Toney’s 36.
In added time, Christian Nørgaard stunned the four-time champions with a brilliant header from a teammate’s cross, sealing the 2-2 draw.
City’s hopes of building momentum with a fourth consecutive win were dashed, leaving the players and coach Pep Guardiola visibly frustrated at full-time.
Chelsea’s struggles continued as they drew 2-2 against Bournemouth. They were on the verge of defeat at Stamford Bridge but managed to salvage a point thanks to Reece James’ late goal. Chelsea remain winless in their last five league matches, sitting fourth with 37 points from 21 games. Bournemouth are seventh with 34 points from the same number of matches.
