Juventus 2 – 0 AC Milan
After three consecutive games without a win, Juventus tasted victory once again in the league.
Breaking free from a lackluster first half, Juventus struck twice in the space of five minutes to secure the win. With this victory over AC Milan, Juventus climbed into the top four in the league standings.
The Serie A match at home on Saturday night ended 2-0 in favor of Juventus. Samuel Mbangula and Tim Weah each scored a goal.
This victory marked a much-needed win after Juventus had dropped points in their previous three league matches. Out of their last nine games, they had won just two, with the remaining seven ending in draws.
With 8 wins and 13 draws from 21 matches, Juventus now have 37 points and occupy 4th place. AC Milan, with 31 points from 20 games, sit in 8th place.
After a goalless first half, Mbangula put Juventus ahead in the 59th minute. His right-footed shot from inside the box deflected off an AC Milan defender and found the net.
In the 64th minute, Weah doubled the lead. The American winger, son of former Ballon d’Or winner and former Liberian president George Weah, broke through on a through ball, entered the box, and finished past the goalkeeper.
