Juventus has announced that the contract of Brazilian defender Danilo has been terminated by mutual consent.
Danilo’s five-and-a-half-year spell at Juventus has come to an end. The 33-year-old defender has parted ways with the Serie A club.
The Italian club confirmed that the contract with Danilo, which was set to run until next June, has been mutually terminated. His final match for Juventus took place last month.
After stints at Real Madrid and Manchester City, Danilo joined Juventus in August 2019. Over his time at the club, he played 213 matches and scored 9 goals. He won the Serie A title in the 2019-20 season, as well as two Italian Cups and one Italian Super Cup.
Reliable transfer expert, Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, reported on social media platform X that Danilo has joined his home country’s club, Flamengo, on a free transfer. The contract is for two years.
However, neither the club nor the player has made an official announcement yet.
