The teams for the Champions League Round of 16 and the play-offs have been confirmed after the first round.

In this revamped format, 9 out of the 36 teams were eliminated in the earlier rounds. Only Liverpool and Barcelona secured automatic qualification for the Round of 16. The fate of 25 teams was left hanging until the final round.
All 18 matches in this round were played simultaneously on Wednesday night, with 16 teams emerging victorious and two matches ending in a draw.
The top eight teams on the points table secured direct qualification for the Round of 16, while teams finishing in positions 9 to 24 will compete in two-legged play-offs to fight for a spot in the final 16.
