Man Utd & Tottenham Learn Possible Europa League Opponents After Playoff Draw
Manchester United and Tottenham now know which teams they could face in the Europa League last 16 following Friday’s knockout playoff draw.
After United’s 2-0 win over FCSB and Tottenham’s 3-0 victory against Elfsborg on Thursday, both teams secured automatic qualification for the round of 16. Now, with the playoff draw complete, their potential opponents have been revealed.
United or Tottenham could be drawn against AZ Alkmaar, Midtjylland, Real Sociedad, or Galatasaray in a two-legged tie scheduled for early to mid-March. Both clubs are strong contenders to go all the way, but they’ll need to overcome tough competition in the next round.
