The Brazilian forward has made it clear—he wants to stay at Europe’s most successful club for many more years.
For a while now, Saudi clubs have been trying to lure Rodrygo away from Real Madrid. However, the 24-year-old forward has no plans to leave anytime soon. He has openly stated his desire to continue representing Los Blancos for years to come.
Rodrygo is having a strong season, scoring 12 goals and providing eight assists in 31 matches across all competitions. Since joining Real Madrid in 2019, he has played 248 matches, netting 67 goals and contributing to 48 more.
His contract with Real Madrid runs until 2028, but Saudi Pro League clubs have been persistent in their pursuit. Speaking to reporters on Monday, Rodrygo acknowledged their interest but reaffirmed his commitment to Real Madrid.
“Reviewing offers from Saudi clubs is my father’s job—he’s my agent. That’s something for him and the club to handle. I don’t know much about the details, but I appreciate the interest from other teams.”
“I’m very happy here. I’ve been at Real for a long time, and I always say that playing in the Champions League with this jersey is something truly special for me.”
Rodrygo and Real Madrid will face Manchester City on Tuesday in the newly formatted Champions League playoffs.
