England will be without this left winger in their next World Cup qualifier.
Anthony Gordon has been ruled out of England’s upcoming match due to an injury sustained in the game against Albania. The left winger has already left the national team camp and returned to his club, Newcastle United.
England will face Latvia on Monday in their next 2026 World Cup qualifier. A day before the match, the team officially confirmed the 24-year-old Gordon’s injury.
Gordon picked up a hip injury in the 74th minute of last Friday’s 2-0 win against Albania when he came on as a substitute. His condition will be further evaluated at Newcastle.
So far, Gordon has played nine matches for England, scoring one goal.
