Rodrygo out with fever, Bellingham returns to Training

Brazilian forward Rodrygo will miss the clash against Celta Vigo due to fever.

Carlo Ancelotti received some good news ahead of the game — Jude Bellingham has returned to full training after recovering from his injury scare. However, there’s bad news too: Rodrygo has been ruled out of the squad due to illness.

Real Madrid will take on Celta Vigo at the Santiago Bernabéu on Sunday at 6 PM Bangladesh time. Just a day before the match, Rodrygo left training early with a mild fever and symptoms of a severe cold. To prevent the risk of infection, the club has taken strict precautions, and Rodrygo has been dropped from the squad as a result.

Ancelotti has named a 19-man squad, which includes several youth players. The injury list continues to grow, with Antonio Rüdiger, Ferland Mendy, David Alaba, Eduardo Camavinga, Dani Carvajal, and Éder Militão all unavailable.

Injuries have been a persistent issue for Ancelotti this season, making it difficult to field a stable starting XI. He’ll have to overcome that challenge once again against Celta Vigo.

After 33 matches, defending champions Real Madrid sit second in the La Liga standings with 72 points. Barcelona are at the top with 76 points from the same number of games.
