With the slogan ‘Center of Excellence’, built for the first time in Bangladesh by the Ministry of Youth and Sports with the aim of achieving national glory through the high performance of Bangladeshi athletes in the national and international arena, achieving overall success in sports, increasing the physical and mental capabilities of athletes, developing sports techniques and leadership qualities as well as overall development.
It is going to be Bangladesh Sports Institute. Mr. Asif Mahmud Sajib Bhuiyan, Honorable Advisor of the Ministry of Youth and Sports briefed the media about the plans and actions in this regard on Sunday in the meeting room of the Ministry of Youth and Sports. Honorable Secretary of the Ministry of Youth and Sports was also present at the meeting.
In the briefing, the advisor said, Bangladesh Sports Institute will provide specialized sports services and infrastructural facilities through effective collaboration with national and international renowned sports institutions in the field of producing skilled athletes of international standards and achieving high results at the international level.
Many developed countries including UK, USA, China, France have achieved incredible success in the field of sports by combining sports and science. Bangladesh also wants to reach that goal through Bangladesh Sports Institute.
He said that in all the above-mentioned matters – reaching the target, ensuring the quality of service and getting the desired results, experts from the country and outside the country will join the Bangladesh Sports Institute. Ministry of Youth and Sports is committed to implement this project as soon as possible. Bangladesh Sports Institute will be a blessing for the sports people of this country as a center of excellence.
Mr. Asif Mahmud Sajib Bhuiyan also said in the question and answer session of the media persons that the Ministry of Youth and Sports is taking various initiatives to maintain a fair environment and activities in all areas of the sports arena after overcoming the ongoing crisis in the country.
