Bangladesh has cancelled at least 6 persons journey to Paris for Paralympic games. Before it was 13 persons who were finalized to go but the new authority rechecked it and took decision to send 6 persons instead of 13.
Only 2 athletes are in the team and the rest 11 members were not athletes. Govt has approved now Dr. Abdus Salam (NPC president), Fakhruddin Haider (Chef De Mission), Monirul Islam (Cheif Physician), Asif Sobhan (Team Official), Nisith Das (Team coach) and two archery athletes Joma Akter and AlAmin Hossain.
The Paralympic Games which will start in Paris on August 28. The Ministry of Youth and Sports has taken note of the complaints aired in various media related to the team. Mr. Asif Mahmud Sajib Bhuiyan, the Honorable Advisor of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, canceled the GEO of July 18 and granted GEO of 7 instead of 13.
