François "Faf" du Plessis ( ; born 13 July 1984) is a South African professional cricket right-handed batter who plays for Joburg Super Kings in the SA20 and Texas Super Kings in Major League Cricket. Representing the South Africa national team from 2011 to 2021, he scored over 10,000 career runs across all formats in international cricket. He served as the captain of the national team on several occasions.
