“The teams will fight for four spots in the main round of the World Cup.” The 10th edition of the Women’s T20 World Cup will be held in June-July 2026.
So far, five teams have already confirmed their place in the qualifiers. Bangladesh and Ireland qualified directly by participating in the 2024 T20 World Cup. Thailand and host Nepal advanced through the Asia regional qualifiers, while the USA booked their spot through the Americas region.
The remaining five teams will come from the Africa and Europe qualifiers, with two teams each, and one team from the East Asia-Pacific region.
In the qualifiers, the 10 teams will be split into two groups. The top three teams from each group will move to the Super Six round, which will eventually lead to the final.
The 2026 Women’s T20 World Cup will feature 12 teams for the first time. In the previous edition, 10 teams took part, with New Zealand winning the title after defeating South Africa in the final.
