Barcelona’s coach Hansi Flick expressed his delight after the team’s dominant 3-0 win against Brest, especially following their lackluster performances against Celta Vigo. Flick praised his players for their outstanding display in the Champions League, calling the victory well-deserved and noting that the scoreline could have been even more decisive.

On Tuesday night, Barcelona secured their win with a brace from Robert Lewandowski and a goal from Dani Olmo. This victory came as a relief for Flick, whose team had been winless in their last two La Liga matches—a 1-0 loss to Real Sociedad and a 2-2 draw against Celta Vigo.

Flick admitted to being concerned about the team’s form but was pleased to see players like Raphinha and Lewandowski stepping up. Speaking to Movistar Plus after the match, he said:

“I’m very happy. Winning by three goals was what we deserved. However, we could have scored even more. It was an outstanding performance.”

Lewandowski’s two goals marked a remarkable milestone, making him only the third player in Champions League history to score 100 goals, alongside Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi. Flick showered the Polish striker with praise, acknowledging his return to top form after a challenging previous year.

“Lewandowski is incredible. I’m very happy with his goals. He knows he needs to score, and he’s always in the right place to do so. But what the team is doing overall is also crucial,” Flick remarked.

“Of course, he knows his job is to score, and that’s what he plays for. But the work this team is doing is remarkable.”

With this victory, Barcelona sits second in the Champions League group stage with 12 points and leads La Liga with 34 points, signaling a strong return to form.
