The 2030 World Cup will feature six host nations across three continents. Alongside the primary hosts Morocco, Spain, and Portugal, three South American countries—Uruguay, Paraguay, and Argentina—will each host one match in celebration of the tournament’s centenary.

What had been largely finalized now has its official confirmation. FIFA announced on Wednesday that the 2030 World Cup will be jointly hosted by Morocco, Spain, and Portugal, while Saudi Arabia will organize the 2034 edition.

The decision was made during the FIFA Congress meeting, where all 211 member countries participated via video conference.

The inclusion of Uruguay, Paraguay, and Argentina as part of the centenary celebration means matches in the 2030 tournament will take place across three continents—Africa, Europe, and South America.
