Fulham 0–1 Arsenal
Mikel Arteta’s men secured their third consecutive league win.
Despite dominating possession and creating plenty of chances, Arsenal struggled with their finishing. However, Leandro Trossard’s decisive strike ensured all three points — sending the Gunners back to the top of the Premier League table.
At Craven Cottage on Saturday, Arsenal edged past Fulham 1–0, with Trossard scoring the only goal in the second half.
After eight matches, Arsenal now sit on 19 points with six wins and one draw. Earlier in the day, Manchester City had briefly gone top by defeating Everton, but they dropped to second with 16 points. Defending champions Liverpool are third with 15 points, having played one game fewer than the top two.
Arsenal managed just one shot on target in the first half — a 37th-minute effort from Viktor Gyökeres that was saved by the Fulham goalkeeper.
The breakthrough finally came in the 58th minute. From Bukayo Saka’s corner, Gabriel Magalhães flicked a header toward the far post, where Trossard volleyed it into the net.
In the final stages, Arsenal could only manage one more shot on target, with late efforts from Gyökeres and Gabriel Martinelli both denied by Fulham’s goalkeeper in stoppage time.
Overall, Arsenal had 16 shots with five on target, while Fulham failed to hit the target from any of their nine attempts.
After eight matches, Fulham remain 14th in the table with eight points.
