Manchester United 0:3 Bournemouth

Even a coaching change hasn’t changed Manchester United’s fortunes. Ruben Amorim, who replaced Erik ten Hag, has also struggled to guide the team back on track. The Red Devils continue to lose at regular intervals, even at Old Trafford.

Tonight, United were completely outplayed by Bournemouth, suffering a humiliating 3-0 defeat at home. In another match, Chelsea failed to score against Everton, with the game at Goodison Park ending in a goalless draw.

Despite dominating possession and taking more shots than Bournemouth, United couldn’t convert their chances. With 60% possession and 23 shots, they controlled the game statistically but failed to deliver where it mattered most—scoring goals.

Bournemouth, on the other hand, made the most of their limited chances. Dejan Kulusevski opened the scoring in the first half, while Justin Kluivert and Antoine Semenyo added two more goals in the second half. Interestingly, this isn’t the first time Bournemouth has humiliated United at Old Trafford; they defeated the Red Devils by the same 3-0 scoreline last December in a league match.

United started the game aggressively, attacking from the outset. However, their moves consistently fell apart near Bournemouth’s defense. The lack of quality in finishing was evident among United’s attackers. Substitutes Alejandro Garnacho and Rasmus Højlund also failed to make an impact, leaving the hosts to endure a frustrating and embarrassing defeat.

After tonight’s loss, United sits 13th in the table with 22 points from 17 matches (6 wins, 4 draws, 7 losses). Bournemouth, with 28 points from the same number of games, climbs to 5th. Meanwhile, Manchester City drops to 7th with 27 points, and Chelsea, despite the draw, remains 2nd with 35 points from 17 matches.
