Brest 0–3 Paris Saint-Germain
After two straight draws in Ligue 1, the French champions finally returned to winning ways.
While PSG have been impressive in the Champions League, their domestic form had dipped recently. But Luis Enrique’s side bounced back in style on Saturday, defeating Brest 3–0 to reclaim the top spot in Ligue 1.
In their previous four league games, PSG managed just one win, losing their hold on the summit. This time, a brace from Achraf Hakimi in the first half and a late goal from Désiré Doué sealed a comfortable victory.
With six wins and two draws from nine matches, PSG now sit on 20 points. Marseille, who have played one game fewer, are second with 18 points.
PSG dominated both possession and attack throughout the match. The breakthrough came in the 29th minute when Vitinha played a superb through ball over the defense, allowing Hakimi to break the offside trap and finish with a precise low shot.
Ten minutes later, the Moroccan defender struck again, doubling the lead after collecting a pass from Khvicha Kvaratskhelia inside a crowded penalty area.
In stoppage time, substitute Désiré Doué wrapped up the win with a sharp left-footed strike from inside the box.
