After yet another defeat, Manchester United coach Ruben Amorim stated that more time is needed to bring about the necessary changes.
Amorim emphasized focusing on solving United’s daily issues rather than worrying about the future.
In the Premier League, Amorim’s team is far from comfortable. On Thursday, they suffered a 2-0 loss to Wolverhampton Wanderers, adding to their struggles this season.
This was United’s fourth defeat in their last five matches, leaving them in 14th place with just 22 points from 18 games. They now trail fourth-placed Arsenal by 11 points.
Speaking after the match, Amorim admitted he isn’t yet sure how long it will take to get United back on track.
“We have to work on many things at this club, both on and off the pitch, and in every single match. We’ll use every minute of training and every match to improve,” said Amorim.
“Every day, I must try to make progress. I need to watch videos, use every minute of training, and try to gain some points.”
It has been a month since Amorim took charge at Old Trafford. How does he view the players so far?
“They need time to adapt to change because they’re playing a completely different style now. It’s challenging for them, and it’s equally tough for the staff to convey all the information to them.”
“And when results don’t go your way, the job becomes even harder. We have to stay confident and keep working. This is a difficult time, and we need to focus on the next match.”
United’s next game is at home against Newcastle United on Monday, followed by an away match at Liverpool on January 5.
