Portuguese forward João Félix has joined AC Milan on loan for the remainder of the season.
Reports about the move had been circulating for days, and now the official announcement has arrived. Félix, who was on Chelsea’s books, will spend the rest of the season with the Italian club on loan.
AC Milan confirmed the deal in a statement on Tuesday, clarifying that the agreement does not include a purchase option.
Félix arrived in Milan on Monday, underwent his medical, and then signed the contract.
The 25-year-old forward initially joined Chelsea from Atlético Madrid last August on a seven-year deal, with media reports suggesting the transfer was worth €50 million. This marks his second loan spell at Chelsea, having also played there on loan in the second half of the 2022-23 season.
During his return to Stamford Bridge, Félix made an immediate impact, scoring on his Premier League debut against Wolverhampton Wanderers. However, under Enzo Maresca, he struggled for consistent game time, starting only three league matches. In 12 league appearances this season, that debut goal remained his only one.
At AC Milan, Félix will wear the number 79 jersey. He could make his debut as early as Wednesday in the Coppa Italia quarter-final clash against Roma.
