Bayern Munich will be without young footballer Jamal Musiala for this match.
Manuel Neuer is ready to return to the field after recovering from a rib injury. The experienced German goalkeeper will guard Bayern’s post in the match against Borussia Mönchengladbach.
Bayern is set to face Mönchengladbach in the Bundesliga on Saturday. In a press conference the day before, Bayern coach Vincent Kompany confirmed Neuer’s return for this match.
Neuer has been out of action since December 3, when he fractured his rib during a challenge in a German Cup match against Bayer Leverkusen. That incident also earned him the first red card of his career.
In Neuer’s absence, Israel’s Daniel Peretz had been handling goalkeeping duties for Bayern. However, Peretz suffered an ankle sprain during training earlier this week and is now sidelined for several weeks.
Jamal Musiala, who has scored nine goals in the league so far, is also unavailable for this match due to flu.
Bayern leads the Bundesliga standings with 36 points, sitting four points ahead of reigning champions Bayer Leverkusen, who are in second place.
